To start at the beginning

I grew up in the Puget Sound area boating with my family as a child and ultimately owning and cruising my own boats. 

I grew up in a family with two sisters whose father loved this area and all things boating. My dad loved the water and wanted to share that love with his family. He was an airline captain with high standards in just about everything. We lived in a house overlooking Puget Sound. He purchased his first boat when my sisters and I were young and like so many boaters, got 15-footitis every few years.  We cruised waters from our berth in Tacoma southward to Olympia and northward to the inland waters of Canada.

As an adult, I have continued my love for the water. I too purchased a small boat at first working my way up to my current boat, a 1986, 54 foot, Angel pilothouse yacht designed by local architect, Howard Apollonio. 

In June 2020, I finally obtained a longtime goal of getting my OUPV with 50 Ton Master’s endorsement.
